I have just entered the latest Laura Ashley competition, and whilst I was looking through the catalogue and website for products to fill my designed room, I came across many novelty cushions that would add some fun to any room. Above are my favourite ones - the christmas present, the cupcakes, the taxi, the london landscape and the union jack.

Paintings
These are a few of my favourite paintings have I done over the last two years. I really enjoy painting, especially with acrylic paints, and I developed my skills a lot through taking my fine Art A level course.

shabby chic
I was out shopping today when I came across one of my favourite shops, Flutterbyes. I'm quite a girly girl and love butterflies, hearts, arts and crafts and all things pink. Decoration is my favourite part of interior design and i'm always looking for pretty, unique things to update my bedroom. I really love the shabby chic and country cottage style trends that are popular at the moment in interiors. So below, I have added a few of my favourite things I found in the shop that would really add a homely feel to a room...
Photography
These images are a few photos that I took of a model I made. The room is a family room in a loft conversion, where people can relax watching the tv, listening to music or reading a book. The model was made from white card, and detail added with a fineliner black pen. I really enjoyed working on this project.
The top 3 photos are part of a group project. We went along to a house next to the beach, and between the four of us, we carefully designed and arranged the space to create photos that were interesting and sharp, and colourful. The fourth image is a photo I took for a project on show homes. I have edited it slightly in photoshop to brighten up the colours and get rid of the yellow light cast over the white cupboards.
Moodboards
I have added a couple of moodboards that I have created since beginning my degree a year ago. These are my favourite ones, designed for a moulin rouge pop-up shop and a guest room in a family home. Moodboards are one of my favourite areas of the course, because I love putting together and choosing the different colour schemes, fabrics, textiles and patterns for a room.
My Drawings
Above, I have posted some of my watercolour drawings/paintings that I created as part of a university project. I was given a floor plan of the house, and from this, I drew some perspective drawings of what the interior and exterior would look like, and added a bit of colour using watercolour paint.
